When a staff person terminates their staff designation should be inactivated by redirecting it.
The ministry should have a clear policy about what to do in cases when staff leave or projects are completed. The policy may state that when people leave staff or a project is completed, a letter is sent to the donors (preferably by the staff member) informing them of this. It may state the gifts given after a certain date will be used by the ministry for the “general staff fund”, or whatever.
