About TntWare
Thank you - this is EXACTLY the information I needed to fix the error I created in linking a donation to the wrong contact. I knew there had to be a way to do this, and couldn't figure it out myself. The FORUM help did the trick!
How do you right click in TNT with a Mac? Normally with a mac, you crtl-click. But that doesn't seem to be working.
@JoshuaDean, make sure you're on the latest version of TntMPD for the Mac. It's available under the "Downloads" area of this website.
perfect. thanks. i actually solved it prior to your email just by playing around a little bit more. nonetheless, thank you!
Once I found the information after about 10 minutes, it only took 10 seconds to undo my download mistake. Getting the correct terminology was slowing me down.
Exactly the help I needed! Thank you!!
I have an organization that processes donations for several of my ministry partners. How do I get the right gift to the right partner. When the download from the Navs comes through they go to only one of the min partners. The ID # from the Navs is the same, but in the Memo line you can see which min partner is what from.
Anyway to just link one donation to another min partner?
Thanks
Dane, the link is from "donor id" to a contact in TntConnect. You shouldn't need to link gifts with the same donor id to different contacts. The problem seems to be with how the organization processed the donation on their side and then reported it to you. You should inform them of this error.
Troy,
I am still having trouble with National Christian Foundation gifts to me. Several of my donors use the organization to pay their gift. In the memo line of the individual gift I can tell who gave it. My problem is anything coming from National Christian Fdn is going to only one of these donors. Is this an issue with the Navs or National Christian?
Can I individually separate gifts from NCF and manually place them with the correct donor?
Thanks again.
Hi Dhallphin, Ideally, the Navigators should show the source donor as THE donor to TntConnect (and maybe mention that it was "given via NCF" in the memo). That's how we try to work the integrations with DonorHub. But the Navs unfortunately don't use DonorHub. This help page explains how you can manually fix it each month: www.tntware.com/.../gifts_splitting.aspx
@Troy Wolbrink,
My question is possibly related, but I'm not sure. In my case I have donors with a spouse that has passed away or a divorced spouse, but in TNT I'm still seeing their old name show up every time I download new donations.
For example, John & Jane Doe used to support us monthly, but after John passed away Jane continues to support our ministry. I can see that Wycliffe has recorded the correct information because gifts are registered to “Jane Doe” at her new apartment. But on TNT, every gift continues to be labeled as from "John and Jane Doe"
Example #2: Jack and Jill Smith used to support us monthly, but after a difficult divorce they support stopped for a couple years. But later Jack and his new wife Sue started to support us again. I can see that our Wycliffe Statement shows gifts correctly from "Jack & Sue Smith" but when I download the donations into TnTConnect they are still labeled as "Jack and Jill Smith" (using the old wife's name Jill instead of the new wife's name Sue).
This is important because I don't want to accidentally write a thank you note to "Jack and Jill" and accidentally offend the new wife Sue. I suspect this has something to do with how donors are recorded in the data base, but I'd like to know how to make corrections in this list and would appreciate your help.

I posted my question to a different thread, with a little more detail:
