TntMPD 3.0.5 (beta candidate)

TNT.tips from Bob!

I'd like to see TntMPD 3.0.5 become the beta release I release on Friday!  Now is your last minute chance to download and try it out before then.  Going BETA will cause it to show up under the "Downloads" section of the website and for some users who have the option set, they will be notified of the new version in TntMPD's status bar.  So this will bring in a lot more testers!

Here's a list of the changes:

FEATURE - "Welcome to TntMPD 3.0" prompt when upgrading database includes a place for "what's new" information.
FEATURE - Added Back and Forward buttons on Community browser title bar.
FIXED - "Richedit line insertion error" when displaying address with non-standard line breaks.
FIXED - Issue where clicking "Retry Last Download" on Gift Input ignored "Match Contacts" check box.
FIXED - "ContactID (x) not found" when changing region on a contact.
FIXED - Mac: TntSync file chooser would switch focus to Finder to select a file.
FIXED - Mac: TntSync might report "0x8000FFFF" error when synchronizing databases.
FIXED - Issue where updating linked Access database from command line might prompt for a password on pre-3.0 database.
CHANGE - MailChimp, added confirmation message before manually deleting email addresses from MailChimp.
CHANGE - MailChimp, added confirmation message before manually unsubscribing email addresses in TntMPD.
CHANGE - MailChimp, a history is logged whenever an email is added to MailChimp.
CHANGE - MailChimp, button to "Unsubscribe in TntMPD and "Delete from MailChimp" are never bold.
CHANGE - MailChimp, "Next" button says "Skip" if there are any possible items to manually resolve.
CHANGE - Export Current Group requires at least one field to be selected.
CHANGE - "New Database" prompt defaults to Dropbox folder.
CHANGE - "Open Database" prompt defaults to location of most recent database in Dropbox, Desktop or Documents folder.
CHANGE - Enhanced error messages that might occur when backing up database.
NOTE - Reduced unnecessary registry hits when checking for Wine Tricks.

The "Welcome to TntMPD 3.0" screen will appear when you upgrade a database to TntMPD 3.0.  This screen appears at a key time when people are wondering about how to take advantage of all the new features.  For now it will appear like this:

I can easily change what web page appears there.  In the future, maybe it will look like this:

Here's the full release log for 3.0.5.

Thanks,
Troy

Hi Troy,

It's excited to see TntMPD 3.0 getting closer to release!

I don't recall where I found this initially, but there was a Toontown database that I've used for testing MIST against TntMPD 2.x.  Will you be releasing a 3.x version of that DB?  I noticed, for example, that the Jetsons could now have their email addresses split out, etc.

I don't *need* this DB for testing MIST, but it would  be helpful to have a Troy-approved DB to test against if possible!

Tom

Hey, Bob here. A gal on my team built that ToonTown Ministries database for me in 2003, and I've been maintaining it ever since. I've upgraded one of my sample versions to 3.0.

Actually, the real work is on the DonorWise side. You can create your own ToonTown database at any time just by logging in ToonTown Ministries. I'll have to update all of that, and I'll check the DonorWise (source) database to make sure the spouse information is correct. Actually, I'm not sure that it will send it just yet, even though TntMPD could receive it.
